GHMRC Meeting, Zurich 2024
The first-ever Family Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation Fellowship was granted to PhD student Bryony Davies (‘Impact of Maternal and Infant Morbidity on Secretory Activation’). She’ll work across two labs under the mentorship of Prof. Fadil Hannan, LRF OCEHL, and Prof. Lars Bode, LRF MOMI CORE.
Three interdisciplinary projects focused on improving outcomes for small vulnerable newborns will launch in 2025. Each involves early career researchers – we’re delighted to introduce them here:
‘Characterising the Impact of Maternal Well-being on Hormone-regulated Lactation Initiation: A Longitudinal Study’, with Xin Meng, LRF OCEHL, and Prof. Tilman Reinelt, LRF NGN
‘From Lactation to Innovation: Leveraging Human Milk Extracellular Vesicles for Neurodevelopment’, with Michelle Ma, LRF OCEHL and Maria Consolata Miletta, LRF NGN
‘NeuroNurture: Unveiling Neurodevelopmental Trajectories Promoted by Colostrum’, with Savannah Machado, LRF CIBF, and Maria Consolata Miletta, LRF NGN
Congratulations to everyone for a hugely successful meeting! We are profoundly grateful to the hosts, LRF NGN at the University of Zurich, and to each person who traveled near and far to experience the magic of interdisciplinary collaboration.
