Introducing the newest Fellow and Early Career Researcher Project awardees, with hearty congratulations
Maheshwar Bhasin earned a Fellowship to support his first doctoral position, investigating the potential role of colostrum in early brain development. The project is a collaboration between the LRF Centre for Immunology and Breastfeeding (LRF CIBF) at The University of Western Australia, led by Prof. Valerie Verhasselt, and the LRF Center for Neurodevelopment, Growth and Nutrition of the Newborn (LRF NGN) at the University of Zurich, led by Prof. Giancarlo Natalucci.
Isobel Greenhalgh, PhD, Tilman Reinelt and Monica Lores Guerrero, MD secured an Early Career Researcher Award to launch the Human Milk Composition and Neurodevelopmental Outcomes study, a collaboration between the LRF NGN and the LRF Mother-Milk-Infant Center of Research Excellence (MOMI CORE) at the University of California San Diego, led by Prof. Lars Bode.
The bi-annual GHMRC meetings are unique opportunities for researchers from across the five centers to come together, strengthen connections, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
